GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
In the beautiful town of Denver, Co on February 25th, 1976 Sarah Celeste Bettale entered this world to her parents Kevin and Michal Bettale. Her brother Brian and sister Christina welcomed her with open arms. As a child Sarah spent most of her life in Denver, Idaho Springs, and Arizona. Sarah was always very interested and involved in her parents’ work as owner-operator mineral miners near Idaho Springs and surrounding areas. In the next few years came her sister Erin, and two more brothers Nick & Tony whom she loved very much. Her family’s faith was Catholic, and Sarah kept this faith all her life.
In the summer of 1991 Sarah met her soon to be husband Chad Brester at a get together with some friends. The two hit it off immediately and became instantly in love. Chad & Sarah moved in together in 1994 and were soon married on May 11th, 1996 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in downtown Denver Colorado. Chad’s parents Joan & Reiny loved her as if she was their own.
On April 20th of 1998 Sarah & Chad were blessed with their first child Hanna Michal. A beautiful little girl who warmed their hearts immensely. As Hanna Michal grew, Sarah ran her own successful cleaning company that she prided in very much. Her customers were always taken care of and she was proud of that. Sarah decided her love for Engineering was not to be forgotten. She first attended night classes at Arapahoe Community College and within seven years, graduated from Colorado University with her Bachelors in Science with a Civil Engineering degree in May of 2009 all while taking care of their daughter Hanna at home.
Sarah went right into the workforce with a gusto. Being hired by The Shaw Group was a true test of her abilities, and she was very successful at the projects she was handed. Sarah was soon desired on projects all over the office until she was finally given reclamation jobs for the DOD and DOE. Sarah’s most prestigious project was the Joe English Pond Bomb Reclamation Job in New England. Sarah successfully completed a job that had failed three times before in the same company. After The Shaw Group came Sky Research and a couple other Engineering companies. Sarah even started her own small Engineering company before the birth of their second child.
On March 26th, 2012 Sarah & Chad were gifted their second child Emma Reiny. Emma was their gift from God as they had tried for years with no success. Three years later on February 28th 2015 came their first little boy and third child Blake Aric. Sarah sacrificed her career because she always believed that she should raise her children and not some daycare. Sarah was the most loving mother to her three children always believing they came first and would never need a thing. Sarah would drop anything to make sure her children were ok.
Sarah developed Triple Negative Breast Cancer in 2016. She endured Chemo, Radiation, and a single Mastectomy to try and rid herself of the demon that had invaded her body. But the cancer came back and moved to other places in her body. On October 28th 2018 Sarah succumbed to her cancer in a hospital in Littleton, Colorado with her family by her side. The demon had taken her life but had not taken her pride and love for her family and children.
Sarah was a family person. She cared very deeply for her parents, brothers and sisters, husband, and of course her three beautiful children. Family made Sarah feel safe and comfortable. She loved when family would come in town and she would insist they stay at the house so they were close. Again….Family always came first.
