Obituary for Sharon E. Vivens
Vivens, Sharon Elizabeth, age 63 of Aurora. Mrs. Lewis was born on July 27, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to Howard and Senoria Lewis. The eldest of five children. Sharon had two sisters and two brothers, Howard H (deceased), Edna, Jesse, and Constance (Connie). As a child, she was the 'one who took control of her sibling's.' Sharon loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her sisters and friends. Educated in the Denver school system, she graduated from Manuel High School where she met the love of her life Simon. On December 23, 1966 she was united in marriage with Simon Vivens Jr. He always called her his 'Shakey'. To this union were born two daughters Tinamarie and Schrese. Many years later she was blessed with two grandchildren, Terrence and Breana. We all deeply loved our 'Mom and Granas'. A lot of people will remember Sharon and Simon by there slow dancing and we called them 'pull backs', they danced as if they were one. Others will remember Sharon because she gave such tight hugs and smelled so good. As a woman of faith, Sharon led her family to Jesus Christ and recently became a member of Colorado Community Church. Sharon was employed at Western Electric-Celestica and after 25 years she retired. In her free time she enjoyed just being with her family. Sharon was the best in every way. Her heart was always open even in hard times and her smile could always light up the darkest night. She would go out of her way to please others especially her family. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed. On Decemeber 29, 2012 the Lord called Mrs.Sharon Elizabeth Vivens home to glory. Those left to cherish her memory is her husband Simon Vivens Jr; mother, Senoria Lewis; Daughters Tinamarie Vivens-Stafford (Robert), Schrese Wells. Sisters; Edna Hutchinson (Allan), Constance Lewis-Hass (Matthew), Twelvress Gillis (Charles). Brother; Jesse Lewis. Two Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Rest in Peace... Shakey.
