Obituary for Sharyl Genette Pierson
Sharyl Genette Pierson went peacefully to be with her Lord on June 12,2022.
Sharyl was born in Dragerton, Utah in May, 1951 to Arvid and Selma.
Sharyl grew up in Colorado along with her two older brothers Harvey and Lawrence, and younger sister, Timmi. After graduating from Alameda High School in Lakewood, Sharyl married and had three children, daughter Susan Sells and sons Brian and Kevin Murphy. A second marriage brought Sharyl three more daughters, Tawnya Bradbury, Teri Burk and Tricia White, who would come to call and love her as their mom. Sharyl is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Sharyl was always a hard worker, and often held multiple jobs to help support her family. She was a model and held the title of Miss Naval Reserve and Miss Lakewood as a teenager, she was a food server at several restaurants, a Mexican food restaurant owner, an administrative assistant for the State of Colorado at several locations including Camp George West, Colorado School of Mines and Colorado State University. Her most treasured role was that of mother and grandmother; this was her calling. She had infinite patience, and desired nothing more than the happiness of her children.
In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her friends in her beautiful lake community in Ft. Collins. Her interests included reading, traveling, playing games and coloring on her iPad, and texting family and friends. She made friends wherever she went, and always put the needs of others first. She made everyone feel welcomed, loved, appreciated, and important. She treated everyone with dignity and respect.
Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she touched so many hearts in her 71 years.
