Obituary for Stella Elizabeth Kruse
Stella Kruse, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord passed away May 11, 2019 in the comfort of her home.

Born October 12, 1918 in Angelus, Kansas, to Peter and Margaret Stephens, Stella was the fifth of thirteen children. She grew up a hardworking farm-girl in western Kansas. Stella graduated from Mercy Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1945. She married Joseph Kruse on June 26, 1948. Joseph and Stella lived in Denver before they relocated to a larger home in Littleton in 1952, to accommodate their growing family.

Stella was a member of St. Mary Catholic Parish for 68 years. Stella enjoyed playing cards, baking, canning, gardening watching sports, making rosaries and crocheting or knitting baby blankets and lap afghans. She loved spending time with her family, especially the traditional Sunday morning breakfast, where stories would bring out her gentle laugh and quick smile.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, all of her siblings, and grandson Stephen.

She is survived by 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.

Keith Kruse (Colleen), and his children Kristopher Kruse (Amiee), Jennifer Kruse, Emily Kruse and Sarah Kruse.
Robert Kruse (Patricia) and their children Charley Kruse (Ann), Henry Kruse and Elizabeth Kruse.
And Mom’s Best Caregiver in the World, Mary Ann Kruse.
