Life is a celebration, with everyone invited to partake in its gifts and blessings. In our journey, seated at the head of the table was Theresa Marie Polys. An exceptional leader, she brought us through the fiercest flames and daunting storms with grace, a smile, and her legendary sense of humor. Theresa’s contribution to the world is immeasurably great; the enormity of the lives she impacted, truly extraordinary.
As a wife, mother, sister, and friend she loved unconditionally and selflessly, calling us to do the same. Spreading love was always her mission. She possessed the unique ability to unite people, to bring everyone together, in the glory of our humanity.
Today, we have our Last Supper in remembrance of you Theresa – filling ourselves with your love, your essence. As we laugh and reminisce, we remember all the beautiful moments we were blessed to share with you. Your life lessons and your spirit will guide us as we push through the trepidation of our next steps. The same way you forged your own path, so too will we. The memories of your courage and tenacity will remain in our hearts as we seek to use our gifts and blessings the same way you did every single day. This is not goodbye; this is “see you soon.”
