Obituary for Tyson Donald Charles Butler
On Monday, January 20, 2020, Tyson Butler, loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, fiancé and friend passed away at the age of 24.
Tyson was born on May 19, 1995 in Aurora, Colorado to Todd and Nan (Carter) Butler. He attended Dakota Ridge High School, played lacrosse and completed the IB Program. He continued his lacrosse and academic career earning his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He went on to work at Temper Inc., and most recently transitioned to RMH Group in Lakewood, CO. He was a valued member of their companies and provided so much knowledge and expertise.
Tyson had a heart for the outdoors. He loved fishing, hiking, skiing, biking, running, and hunting. If it was outdoors, he loved it. When he wasn’t outside immersing himself in God’s creation, he was with people. Tyson had a heart bigger than his head. He lived to help and love people. He was so generous and would give the shirt off his back to anybody…literally anybody. He had a gift for making people feel loved and known. Tyson was brilliant. He truly had an engineer’s brain and was constantly creating and thinking critically about the world around him. From the time he was small, he was creating something (with or without permission, thank goodness for patient parents). It was amazing to see his brain work. He loved his fiancé BriAnna more than words can express. On October 25, 2019, Tyson proposed to the love of his life in Evergreen, Colorado. When Tyson loved, he loved with his whole being. It was obvious in the way he portrayed Jesus.
Tyson was preceded in death by his grandparents Don and Carol, his uncle Bruce and his cousin Kara.
He is survived by his fiancé BriAnna Martin, his parents Todd and Nan Butler, his brother Tanner Butler, his sister Hannah (Justin) Huggins, grandparents Charles and Mary Lou Carter and nephew Hunter Huggins, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
