Shappell, V.O., age 91 of Centennial, Colorado. Survived by his wife, Alice Shappell; his son, Victor Shappell, and his two daughters, Michelle (Ron) Dougan and Tannis (George) Bator. Also survived by five grandchildren, Brittany Rose Dougan, Connor Reid Dougan, George Thomas Bator, III, Catherine Rose Bator, and Bruce Casey Bator. V.O. was a veteran of World War II and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He taught as a teacher of elementary, high school and adult special education was a coach and administrator for 31 years in the Aurora Public School district. He volunteered for numerous causes, was a mentor and actively involved with his church.
