Tim was a brother-in-law in name, but really a brother to me. I’ve been lucky to know him.
Tim entered my life when he began dating Doris, my sister. Tim and Doris were married thirty-one years. For me, the best symbol of their relationship—aside from wonderful Jeremy—is the planting of 40+ roses. I don’t know any other guy who would have agreed to it, but that was Tim. He was laid-back. He knew it was important to Doris, so he didn’t sweat the small stuff. He was her calm. She was his "dynamo". Together they valued family and home.

If someone needed help, he was there. With all of Doris’s health issues, he remained strong, positive, and courageous. When Doris passed, he made the choice to push through it, to smile, to laugh, to make others laugh, to be happy, to find that sunny side. I think that is why so many enjoyed being around him no matter where he was. He lifted your spirits.

Tim was passionate about fishing, and camping and everything that went along with it. I think the thing he enjoyed most about fishing trips was being with family and friends. Tim also loved to bowl and he was really good and when you saw him in the bowling alley he was in his element.

It was wonderful to witness Tim become a dad. From Jeremy’s earliest days, he was always patient, encouraging, wanting him to explore, even if it meant the odd scrape or two.
He was a good husband, a good dad, a good brother, a good uncle, a good friend. He was genuinely happy when others did well. He made friends and kept them. He loved family and loved to laugh. He was there when you needed him, spoke up when you needed encouragement, and remained quiet when you needed him to listen.
