Obituary for Cynthia Marie Knock
Knock, Cynthia Marie, 50, of Aurora died on the morning of July 12 surrounded by the love of her son, Spencer Lindstrom, also of Aurora. During her final days Spencer was regularly at her bedside. Cynthia was the daughter of Barbara and Gary Knock of Fletcher, NC. She grew up in Oxford, Ohio and attended elementary school at McGuffey School, the laboratory school of Miami University. She graduated from Talawanda High School in Oxford and attended Bowling Green State University.
She moved to Boulder and was employed with various local companies. Her most satisfying career positions were with firms working on environmental projects where she supported the efforts of engineers and scientists as an administrative assistant. She subsequently moved to Denver and then to Aurora.
In addition to her parents and her son, she leaves behind her sister, Elizabeth Jay and her husband, Michael, of Cortlandt Manor, NY and nieces Grace and Adelaide. She also leaves special friend, David Hicks, of Aurora and many other loyal friends in Colorado, Ohio, and a number of other states, including Spencer’s father, Troy Lindstrom, and his wife, Brie, of Aurora. A celebration of her life will take place in an outdoor setting in Boulder in the near future. An announcement about the organization to receive donations in Cynthia’s memory will be made at the celebration of life.
