Obituary for Michael Todd Glassco
Michael Todd Glassco, 81, passed away on March 21, 2020. Preceded in death by his wife Ann Pence Glassco in 2004, he is survived by sons Gregory, Kevin and Andrew, a sister Patricia Rucki, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and his grandson, Trane Dylan.
Mike was a graduate of Bent County High School in Las Animas, Colorado and went on to receive a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from the University of Colorado in 1962. A member of Phi Kappa Tau fraternity, he had strong relationships with several of his "brothers" meeting with many of them more than annually at CU football games and other festivities across the USA. Commissioned as an officer in the US Army, he served two years active duty in Korea and US military bases.
He met his wife in San Francisco, California through CU alumni and they married there in 1964. Mike was employed with Allstate Insurance Company holding management positions in California, Wisconsin, Kansas, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He held human resources vice president positions with other insurance companies: Crum & Forster in New Jersey, Nationale-Nederlanden in New Hampshire, and Alexander & Alexander in Maryland and New York City. He also served as an officer and Vice President with career management firms Lee Hecht Harrison in New Jersey and New York City and Right Management Consultants in Denver after their move to Colorado in 1997. He retired in 2006 devoting his time and energies to family, golf and travels. He and Ann were active members of Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit, NJ and Pinehurst Country Club in Denver.
He will be laid to rest in a private memorial service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver alongside Ann, his wife for 40 years.
