Adrienne Tianah Akua Essel, beloved daughter of Katie and Robert and sister of London, left us on October 13, 2020. Adrienne came into this world a fighter and lived her short life full of spirit and determination. Her parents shared her with the world and she taught all of us the true meaning of empathy.
Adrienne accomplished so much and made her parents very proud. She was an honor student, a traveler, an artist, a confidante, a leader and a fashionista. She brightened the lives of everyone she met with her compassion, her sense of humor or a simple smile. Adrienne was adored by her family and friends.
Adrienne is survived by her parents, Katie and Robert Essel, her brother London Essel, her grandmothers Anita Shorb and Hannah Ama Essel, and her many aunts, uncles and cousins in both the United States and Ghana.
Adrienne’s impact on our lives is immeasurable; she will live on in our hearts.
