Robert Bruce Reed, age 85 of Lakewood, CO passed away February 21, 2023.
Bob was born to James and Margaret Reed on Jan 17, 1938 in Denver. He was a Colorado native. After he graduated high school, he joined the Navy and was on duty for 8 years then joined the active Navy reserves until his retirement in 1989. During this time he was able to travel over seas and was able to visit Spain. He also went on yearly trips with his Navy buds to Fallon, NV.
On Oct 11, 1959 Bob married Joanne Boyd and from this union they had 3 daughters Roberta, Rhonda and Robin. Bob and Joanne officially separated after 25 years.
After Bob's years of service in the Navy, he worked for Scientific Products Company repairing medical equipment from Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. With his love of real estate, Bob and Joanne later purchased multiple rental properties throughout the years.
As the years passed, Bob became interested in various social activities, particularly becoming fond of square dancing where he happened to meet Sharon. They were married in September 1995 and together they would travel to various locations to square dance. They enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends and were married for 10 years until Sharon unfortunately lost her battle with cancer.
Bob always loved to tinker with cars. He would spend the days working at his storage lot and then off to a square dancing event. He loved to listen to country music. Up until his last day he was always trying to wheel and deal with someone. He was always looking for the best real estate deal for the cheapest price.
He is survived by his daughter's Roberta Glaser and Robin (Brad) Perry.
Grandchildren: Nicole (Cody) Grein, Darrell (Megan) Glaser, Austin Perry, Luke Glaser and Tyler Perry
Great-grandchildren: Danica and Liam Grein
Step-children: Kelley (Chris) King, Kimberly James and John Head
Step-grandchildren: Conner King and Roxanne King
Along with numerous nieces and nephews
Preceding him in death are his daughter Rhonda and his wife Sharon and his 2 sisters.
There are so many memories we have of our Father....
