Obituary for Kristin Jo Tromly
Kristin Tromly, 51, of Denver, CO passed on November, 28, 2017. She is at peace following a brave battle with depression.
Born on September 23, 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Tromly and Karen Anderson Tromly. Kristin Tromly, grew up in southeast Denver and Greenwood Village, CO and attended Cherry Creek High School class of ’84. Kristin graduated with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Colorado Boulder class of ’88. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She earned her Masters in in Organizational and Professional Communications and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the University of Denver class of ’10. She developed skills as an excellent writer, editor and web publisher and worked for 23 years for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, in Golden, Colorado.
An avid skier, biker and hiker, Kristin had a great love of the outdoors and traveling, taking every opportunity to explore outside and see the world, including recent trips to Istanbul and Greece. She was intellectual and loved reading. She was a student of mindfulness and spirituality at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, as well a Reiki Master in the art of energy healing.
Kristin is survived by her brother Steven Tromly, his wife Christine, and their children Audra and Logan, as well as her dog Jaxon. She will be greatly missed.
We invite you to celebrate the life of Kristin at an outdoor Prayer Circle at Silo Park, 9300 E. Orchard Road, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 on Saturday December 9 at 1:30, followed by a reception at the Solomon home at 10794 E. Berry Avenue, Englewood, CO 80111 from 2:30 to 4:30.
Parking is limited at Silo Park, so please carpool or ride your bike. After the Prayer Circle, there will be a memorial 2-mile bike ride to the reception.
If you would like to make a gift, please donate in Kristin’s name to Reel Recovery, Animal Rescue of the Rockies, and participate in a memorial hike in this spring to honor Kristin and raise funds for Big City Mountaineers.
