Obituary for Patricia H. Struzeski
Patricia Struzeski, 83, passed peacefully on March 23, 2018 in Littleton, CO surrounded in her last days by her loving family.
Pat was born on January 16, 1935 in Burlington, VT. She was the daughter of Army officer William McVey and his wife Madalyn. While growing up, Pat lived in Vermont, Panama, Fort Jackson, SC, and Fayetteville, NC. After high school Pat was in the Class of 1955 at Highsmith Hospital School of Nursing in Fayetteville, NC where she received her nursing degree. Pat furthered her knowledge by continuing studies in gynecology for two years in Jersey City, NJ. after graduation. She worked as a nurse while raising three sons and one daughter as the family moved to Ohio, New Jersey, New York and Colorado. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, the outdoors, time with her family and her pets. She also volunteered at her church and as a docent at The Wildlife Experience, and with various clubs and activities at Wind Crest. After failing health Pat continued to enjoy book club, drum circles, crocheting, cards and time with her family.
Pat was a friend to everyone who knew her and had the most warm and gracious heart. She always had a kind word and a big smile. She will be dearly missed by her family as well as those fortunate enough to have known her.
Pat is survived by her husband of 60 years Ed Struzeski and her children Kevin Struzeski (Peg Struzeski Griffith), Terry Struzeski, Ted Struzeski (Andie Cogswell), Brian Struzeski (Sara) and her grandsons Joe and John Struzeski.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on Friday, April 13th at 3 PM at the Chapel at Ellis Family Services, 13436 West Arbor Place, in Littleton.
