Obituary for Mildred J. "Millie" Casale
After an eight year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Mildred (Potenti) Casale, 90, of Fort Collins, CO, died peacefully under the care of Pathways Hospice, March 10, 2019. She was born October 17, 1928 in Gary, IN, one of three sisters and one brother of the Italian-American Potenti family of Gary, Portage, and Crown Point, IN. She attended Froebel High School, class of 1946, in Gary, IN. She was an active member of Our Lady of Consolation Church, Crown Point, IN, and a member of the Portage, IN Chamber of Commerce.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Michael Casale and daughter Judith Ann (Casale) Scholz. She is survived by her sister, JoAnne (Potenti) Rauh of Dallas, TX, two nieces, Patti (Grillo) Johns of Edina, MN and Mary Jo (Grillo) Dunn of St. Charles, IL, two sons, Charles Anthony Casale of Loveland, CO and Louis Matthew Casale of Crown Point, IN, daughter-in-law Debra (Harmon) Casale of Loveland, CO, son-in-law Ed Scholz of Littleton, CO, grandchildren Anthony Casale of Baltimore, MD, Craig Scholz of Jersey City, NJ, Paul Scholz of St. Louis, MO, Kelly (Casale) Sauer of Manchester, NH, Angela (Harmon) Granger of Fort Collins, CO, David Harmon of St. Peters, MO and great grandson Calvin Scholz of Jersey City, NJ.
There will be no visitation but a graveside memorial service will be held in her honor at 9:00 am on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, in Denver, CO.
