Obituary for Jerald Wayne Barker
Jerry, age 80 of Lakewood.

Jerald Wayne Barker passed away at his home in Littleton, Colorado on April 26th, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Barker, and his three children Tom, Susan and Robert.

Jerry was born in Madera California to JW and Violet. His youth was filled with outdoor activities, which was a passion throughout his life.

Jerry enlisted in the Marine Corps and did two tours of duty in Vietnam as a combat engineer. He went on serve in the Marine Corps for 22 years, performing such roles as Drill Instructor, Color Guard Leader, Recruiter and Logistics.

When not at work, Jerry would be found with his family in the outdoors that he loved so much. While stationed in Okinawa he took up diving, a hobby he talked about often. He also enjoyed going on his annual hunting trips in Northern California with his cousin Tim. As well as having a passion for fishing, boating, hiking, and off roading with his Jeep.

As much as he enjoyed the outdoors, Jerry also loved to do woodworking. He has created amazing pieces over the years, and each of the family members display these pieces as artwork in their homes.

Jerry will be truly missed by the friends and family he touched throughout his life.
