Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Cacciavillani
Anthony “Tony” Cacciavillani, 57, of Denver, Colorado, passed away, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 very suddenly and unexpectedly at his home.
Tony was born September 22, 1961 in Casper, Wyoming to Frank Cacciavillani and Marti Albert (Hicks).
Tony was the man with the Mile High Smile. Tony spent most of his life as a freelance videographer after starting his own business, Network Production in 1995. Being a cameraman was his true passion and Tony worked incredibly hard at every project he was on. Tony was able to see some amazing things during his carrier such as the L.A Riots, Miley Cyrus's 16th birthday, Food Network Challenges, CMT interviews, The Bachelor and a lunch date with Willie Nelson himself along with many other huge events. Tony was such an extraordinaire that he was even nominated for an Emmy for editing early is his career.
Those who knew Tony were very familiar with his kindness and his willingness to go out of his way to help others. He developed friendships all over the world and left a huge impression on others. He was a wonderful loving father to four children and was exceptionally terrific with his three grandchildren. He was always willing to show anyone his 67 Camaro that he was so proud of and cherished dearly. Tony was never afraid to share his hate and disgust for squirrels and rabbits. He would instantly pull out his varmint rifle and shoot a rabbit and had squirrel traps set up in the yard which he then took the time and released at deKoevend Park so they would be far enough away to never come back to his yard. Tony just knew that he was the only one who could load a dishwasher correctly and definitely had his creative ways of cleaning and staying organized.
Tony could relate any life situation to a movie quote, the man knew every quote and would throw one out at you even if you knew nothing about the movie. He had closets full of movie memorable and was always up to watch any kind of movie with you.
If you ever wanted good Italian food, Tony could whip up the best homemade lasagna and had dreams of creating a lasagna sandwich on Italian bread, with of course his lasagna that was perfected.
Tony is survived by his daughters Stephanie Cacciavillani Downer (Brian) and Kristin Cacciavillani Becker (Nick), sons Nicholas and Michael Cacciavillani, father Frank Cacciavillani, step mother Michelle Cacciavillani, brother Joe (Regina) Cacciavillani, Jim Cacciavillani and step sister Lori Turner (Cacciavillani) and three grandchildren Maddison, Owen and Charlotte Downer.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The Franciscan Event Center, 6553 S. Revere Pkwy., Centennial, CO 80111.
Since Tony was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes during his childhood and lived with it all through his adult life we are asking people to please donate to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers (Details under MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS).
Tony, Dad, you will be greatly missed and remembered. You were a wonderful man and we all wish we would have had more time with you.
