Obituary for Ronald D. "Ron" Gallegos
Ronald “Ron” David Gallegos, born March 26, 1964 in Denver, Colorado, and died December 15, 2019 at the age of 55 in Lakewood, Colorado.

Ron was born in Denver. He was a proud graduate of Douglas County High School, Castle Rock. He worked as a car mechanic for many years; 24 of those years were for Firestone. He was an avid race car fan who also raced numerous cars himself, modifieds, sportsman, pure stock and super modifieds, most of which he drove at Lakeside Speedway and he won countless trophies. He built race cars from the ground up and loved the work.

At Lakeside Speedway, he met, and soon after, married Kristen Goldston on June 15, 1985, and they lived in Littleton, Colorado, and they were happily married for over 34 years.

Ron was extremely generous and helped out anyone with any mechanical problem if they needed him, even driving for hours in the night to help. He loved to tell jokes and had a way of making everyone laugh and smile. He was a Christian and attended Southern Gables Church in Littleton. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ron sadly lost his father, Joseph Ismael Gallegos, on October 9, 2004.

He is survived by his wife Kris, mother Darlene Fisher Gallegos Neel of Castle Rock, Colorado, his siblings Joseph Gallegos of Alamosa, Colorado, Wendy Gallegos Troup, Julie Gallegos Kimble and Andrew Gallegos whom all live in Castle Rock, Colorado. He is also survived by his niece Amanda Troup, nephew Michael Troup, nephew Matthew Troup, niece Alaura Kimble and nephew Bradley Kimble whom all live in Castle Rock, Colorado as well.
