Obituary for Alexis "Alex" D. Herrera
Alexis D. Herrera, born May 23, 1938 in Holguin, Cuba, passed away on June 25, 2018 at the age of 80. He was the husband of Claudine Herrera and father of Gary, Paul, and Patrick Herrera; proud grandfather of Ciarra Carr and brother of Arles Herrera and Aymee Herrera-Leyva. Beloved uncle and cousin to many.
Alexis was a thirty year veteran of the United States Air Force who fought in the Vietnam War and served in France, Germany, Italy, and countless other worldly locations.
Alexis was a great man who leaves us with his teaching, courage, love of family, and the intelligence to face any difficulty. His great example will always remain in our hearts. He was a wonderful provider for his family and will be missed dearly.
Services will be held at the Chapel at Ellis Family Services at 13436 W Arbor Place, Littleton, Colorado 80127 on Friday June 29th. The viewing will be held from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with services will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The Graveside Service will be held from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the Littleton Cemetery at 6155 South Prince Street, Littleton, Colorado 80120.
Refreshments and food will be served from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Peak Community & Wellness Center at 6612 South Ward Street, Littleton, Colorado 80127.
