Obituary for Donald Eugene Denning
Denning, Donald Eugene, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed on to be with his creator Friday, October 26, 2012. He was born June 27, 1929 in Nebraska where he spent a happy childhood before moving to Englewood, Colorado in 1941. He was married July 24, 1949 to his lovely bride, Beverly, and lived happily in Littleton, Colorado for 63 years. After he retired from Honeywell in 1990, he and Bev travelled to almost all 50 states and Europe. Don loved his family, his house and his garden, which was often his favorite topic of conversation. He was also a woodworker and left examples of his craftsmanship throughout his house and with his children. He especially enjoyed holidays and was a joyous giver. He was a kind man and was well-loved by all who knew him. Don is survived by his wife, Beverly, his sister Elaine Hetrick, three children and their spouses: Steven and Julie Denning, Angela and Steve Hoegee, and Clifford and Debbie Denning, grand children and spouses: Erik and Rachel Denning, Shannon Dillavou, Amanda and Eli French, Nick and Andrea Denning, Tim Denning and three great grandchildren: Charlotte French, Madelyn Denning and Brooke Denning.
Service: A gathering for family and friends will be held to honor and remember Don at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S. Datura, on Friday, November 2nd at 2 p.m.
