Obituary for Doreen Glenece Stack
Doreen Glenece Stack died on October 6, 2020, at Balfour Senior Living, in Louisville, Colorado of natural causes. Born on December 15, 1942 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Glenn and Winona Miller. Dori, who grew up in Waterloo, Iowa, graduated from West Waterloo High School and the University of Iowa.

She moved to Denver Colorado to practice Dental Hygienistry for Denver Public Schools where she met her husband Denis Stack. They married July 16th, 1966 in Waterloo. Not too long after, her sons Neal and Craig were born. As her boys were growing up, she enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Silverthorne skiing, hiking and feeding the birds.

Dori volunteered for the Assistance League of Denver and was a sister in P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) for years. She made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed being involved with the Palomino Park social committee and dining out with the neighbors.

Watching her Iowa Hawkeyes and Denver Broncos play football was a pleasurable pastime and she would text her brother Drex whenever the Broncos scored on the Bears. Golf was one of her favorite sports. She always had a tip on how you could improve your swing.

She will always be remembered for her love, compassion, kindness and probably most of all, her sense of humor.

A longtime resident of Foxfield and Highlands Ranch, she was preceded in death by her husband Denis Stack. She is survived by her children Neal Stack (Paula) of Broomfield, Colorado and Craig Stack (Jennifer) of Denver; 4 grandchildren Connor, Katherine, Parker and Benjamin and her brother Drexel Miller (Sue) of McHenry, Illinois.

A memorial service will be tentatively scheduled for sometime in the spring when the pandemic is under control.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to any one of the qualified charities supported by the P.E.O.:
