Obituary for Frieda B. Daugherty
Frieda, age 97 of Lakewood, Colorado.
Frieda was born in Colorado Springs to Fred and Mary Etta (nee Holland) Schwarz. She graduated from Lakewood High School and attended the Denver Business School, earning her Associates Degree in Business.
Frieda was married to John Daugherty on September 29th, 1956. They traveled to every state but two in their assortment of recreational vehicles. After 61 years of marriage, John preceded her in death on September 15th, 2017.
She is survived by her daughter Sunny Marie (Brad) Hackman of Lakewood, CO.
Frieda is also survived by grandson Victor J. (Sarah) Merchant of Centennial, CO; granddaughters Michelle Jean (Bryan) Knight of Denver, CO; Jesslyn Rae (Christopher) Hildred of Highlands Ranch, CO; great grandsons Brendan Frausto of Denver, CO, Samuel A Merchant of Centennial, CO, Bowen Joseph Merchant of Centennial, CO; Zachary Isaac Hildred of Highlands Ranch, CO, Cameron John Hildred of Highlands Ranch, CO; great granddaughters Emery Anne Merchant of Centennial, CO and, Willow Joy Merchant of Centennial, CO, with additional nieces and nephews in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.
In addition to Frieda’s parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Daugherty, sister Martha Wilson, brother-in-law Bill Wilson, and great granddaughter Brettania Frausto.
