Obituary for Gary Curtis Muller
Gary, age 65 of Highlands Ranch, CO.
On Thursday June 3, 2021, Gary Curtis Muller, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at age 65 in Lone Tree, CO. He was born on July 11, 1955, in Monte Vista, CO to Loren and Helen Muller.
Gary graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1973. He continued his education at Colorado School of Mines where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Cherie Jones in 1975.
As a Mining Engineer Gary worked in numerous states such as Kentucky, Louisiana, Indiana, and Hawaii. He later settled in Colorado where pursued a project management career. He then went back to mining where he worked in Colombia, South America. Gary’s last adventure took him to Wickenburg, AZ where he worked with super leach and the development of environmentally friendly ore. Gary will be deeply missed by his wife, Cherie, of 45 years; daughter Leslie (Nate) Wills of Castle Pines, CO; daughter Jennifer (Toby) Alvarez, Jr. of Littleton, CO; grandsons – Bradley Wills, 18; Dominic Wills, 11; Toby Alvarez III, 14; Jesse Alvarez, 7; sister Lora Hughes of Grand Junction, CO: sister Connie Huber of Salam, OR; and numerous other family members. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Mission Hills Church, 620 South Park Drive, Littleton, CO 80120 . Following the service, there will be a dessert reception.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Muller Family that will be used to plant a commemorative tree at Hudson Gardens in Gary’s memory.
