Obituary for George Alfred Reish
George Alfred Reish, 79, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. George was born in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on March 18, 1939 to the late Dorothy Groover Reish and the late Kenneth Alfred Reish. He was raised in Lewisburg, attended Bucknell University there, graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then worked for Rohm and Haas in Philadelphia, leaving for two years to fulfill his ROTC commitment at Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Colorado.
A Job transfer brought him to Detroit, Michigan where he met and married Mary Perinjian (Reish) in August of 1966. By the end of 1966 they moved to Denver, Colorado where George entered the University of Denver to graduate with an M.B.A while also working at Marathon Oil Company. After graduation George went to work in product development for Samsonite Luggage Company and started to invest in real estate at night. This led George to change careers and he became a property manager at Burns Realty and Trust in the early 1970s. In 1977 George started Reish Investments & Realty, Inc. which for 35 years bought and operated commercial real estate in the greater Denver area.
George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary, and three sons, Eric, Kevin and Alex, their families including five grandchildren and his brother William G. Reish.
