Obituary for Jack Walker Kennedy
Jack Walker Kennedy, 15, of Monument, passed away on October 17, 2018. He was born June 4, 2003 and is the son of Brett and Kim Kennedy. He was a freshman at Lewis Palmer High School.
Jack is survived by his parents Brett and Kim of Monument; his brother Connor, his sister and brother-in-law Nikki and Taylor Hudson, and nephews Steele and Hunter. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Art and Marlene Meyer, and his paternal grandparents Jack and Janice Kennedy, Addean Snyder and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jack loved hanging out with his friends, going to Young Life on Friday nights, and all things related to technology. He loved giving gifts, making his friends laugh and had a smile that would light up a room. Jack was dealt a hard hand with life threatening allergies and other health issues. He never complained about his very limited diet and loved his mom’s special versions of mashed potatoes and pizza. He recently visited the doctor and was so excited that he was finally taller than his dad after 9 years of growth hormone injections, taken every night.
A vigil will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 6:30 PM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 55 Jefferson Street, Monument, CO 80132. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Peters Catholic Church with lunch in the church reception hall and burial following at the Monument Cemetery.
