Obituary for Kathleen Ann Keefe
Keefe, Kathleen Ann, age 77 of Centennial. Kathy was born May 26, 1937 in Kansas City, Missouri, and died January 28, 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas; her sons, Jeffrey, Bradley (Jeanne), and Patrick (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Paul, Kelly, Ryan, Malachi and Torin. Her parents, Herbert and Katherine Weidman of Kansas City, Missouri preceded her in death. Kathy attended Paseo High School in Kansas City, Missouri and Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas where she was an Alpha Chi Omega. She graduated from Metropolitan State College in Denver with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Reading. Kathy valued being a wife and mother and the companionship of 4 family golden retrievers. She taught kindergarten at Willow Creek for 20 years. Spending summers at the family cabin on Star Island, Cass Lake, Minnesota was special to her. While there she participated in reading, hiking and having family and friends for dinner. After retirement she enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Spending a year in England and traveling the world with Tom was a great experience. Making photo albums from trips and teaching was her hobby. Recently she took pride in adding to the family genealogy. Friends from Baker, Star Island, Willow Creek teachers, the Lunch Bunch, and the Bunco group were important to her.
Cemetery: Memorial Garden at First Plymouth Congregational Church, weather permitting, following the service.
