GRIEF & HEALING
affirmations to uplift & help you through
each stage of the grieving process.
Natalie Doris Mead died peacefully in her mother’s arms on April 21, 2018. She was born premature 1 lbs. 6.6 oz. on November 12, 2016 in Valhalla New York to parents Emily Hart and John Mead. She died from complications of respiratory virus’ that her premature lungs could not fight off. She moved to Colorado after fighting for her life in the NICU for 4 months. She enjoyed 17 months on this earth as she especially loved bath time and going swimming up at the neighborhood pool. She worked hard to achieve her milestones in Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. They did so much to help her and just recently, she started crawling and standing up to things with help. Her smiles and laughs with her big perfect blue eyes lit up the world. The joy she brought to our lives will forever be remembered. She loved going to the park and swinging with her friend Jojo and exploring whatever she could see and get her hands on. She loved shopping with her mother. Everyday was an adventure getting to pick out what outfit she would wear. She looked adorable in whatever we put her in. Natalie was the sweetest and most content child ever and she will forever be in our hearts. She was strong like her parents and fought for her life every second. Though she didn’t get to experience everything in this life, through her short 17 months on this earth, she taught so much to her parents and brought so much happiness to us all. She taught us patience and to live each day to its fullest as life is so precious.
She is survived by her loving parents, John Mead and Emily Hart, grandmother Cheryll Hart, grandfather Steve Hart, aunt Amy Hart, uncle Alex Hart, and half sisters Autumn Heatherman, Samantha Mead and Lena Mead. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and Charles Harold Mead, Sr., uncle Charles “Chuckie” Mead, Jr., and great grandparents, Earl and Audrey Beck, and Douglas and Mary Jane Hart.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 910 Ridge Rd., Littleton, CO 80120. Viewing and condolences at 9:30 am to 10:45 am and services at 11:00 am. Interment following at Littleton Cemetery.
Special thanks to all the wonderful nurses and doctors in the NICU and PICU, respiratory, physical, occupational, speech therapists and all care givers that saved her many times and made Natalie’s precious 17 months on this earth so loving and special.
Natalie was always a happy little spirit and though we are saddened by this difficult and devastating time she would want all of us to be happy. We love you always, “Baby Smalls.”
She may have been small, but she was mighty.
“A person’s a person no matter how small.”
