Obituary for Ross Kyle
Ross Kyle, age 91 of Denver, CO previously of Corbin, KY went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18, 2015, at home with his daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his wife Willa of 64 years united, daughter Beverly Higgason, three sisters and a brother. He is survived by his daughter Rhonda Kyle Lovato of Denver, CO, son-in-law Dr. Richard Lovato, granddaughter Erika Danielle Lovato, and grandson Michael Higgason.

He retired from the United States Steel Corporation. Ross was an avid golfer and bowler. He was an active member of the Corbin community for 55 years; lifelong member of First United Methodist Church where he served on the Board and was Superintendent of Sunday Schools and an usher; he was President of the Corbin Shrine Club and the Optimist Club. His passion was spending time with his family and of course watching Kentucky Basketball. During the off-season he watched the St. Louis Cardinals of which he had been a fan since 1932. As a WWII Veteran he served in Europe under General Patton’s command in the Third Army.

He truly was one of the “Greatest Generations”. There is no replacing them. His passing will leave a hole in American fabric as well he will leave a hole in the hearts of those he touched.
