Royal C. "Stoney" Stainbrook of Littleton, Colorado passed away March 17th, 2016. Royal was born in Canon City, Colorado on January 4, 1946 to the parents of Cecil and Hazel (Daniels) Stainbrook.
Stoney was a Draftsman, Iron Worker and worked in Sales for Janitorial supplies. Royal also was a Facilities Manager at Wings over the Rockies for over 10 years. Most recently he was a volunteer at RMNP. He enjoyed photography, hiking, wood working, attending athletic events of his grandchildren, observing wildlife, and volunteering at the school in his beloved wife’s class room. His favorite past time was giving his loved ones a hard time. Royal was married to Sandra Yoakum for 9 years.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, children Nicholette Price of Florence, CO, John (Raynette) Douglas, Aaron (Virginia) Stainbrook all of Canon City, CO, and Joel (Mirenda) Stainbrook of Arvada, CO, Kristin Britton of Bedford Hills, NY, Sarah (Calvin) Higby of Austin TX. He is also survived by a sister Sharon (Barney) Yetter of Canon City, CO, nephew Scott Yetter of Florence, KY. His grandchildren Greg Martin, Krista (Tommy) Iovinella, Ryan Douglas, Austin Douglas, RJ Stainbrook, Trica (Kassin) So Kairy, Venessa (Mark) So Infante, and Caleb Stainbrook. Great grandchildren Sami, Estrella, Brooklynn, Calista, and Lukas.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Rocky Mountain Conservancy (West Side) in memory of Royal are welcomed. Online donations can be made at rmconservancy.org.
