Obituary for Victor Roney Griggs
Griggs, Victor Roney, age 79 of Centennial.
Victor Roney Griggs was born on August 16, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Glenn F. Griggs and Helen Cracroft Griggs. He attended Quirrah Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, Nillside Jr. High and Highland High School. He attended Salt Lake Community College to learn drafting. He worked at Buehner Block Company in Salt Lake and then transfered to Denver. He worked several years at Turnmar Corporation before starting his own real estate property management company.
He married Linda Welchel in 1958 and they had a daughter Deborah and son Andrew. He later married Vicki Pilgrim in 1971.
Victor had a lifelong interest in trains and built several large layouts of HO scale. He enjoyed buying and adding to many various collections.
He is survived by his daughter Debbie (Art) and son Andy (Cheryl) and grandchildren Samantha, Kimberly, Justine, Michael and great grandson Duke. Also survived by his sister Glenda Leavitt and a niece and a nephew.
