William "Bill" Ebert, age 95 of the Vi Community at Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Raised in East Troy, Wisconsin, Bill joined the U.S. Navy Reserves after high school before attending Whitewater State Teachers College, later named the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Bill was on the football team at Whitewater and was a lifelong Packers fan. He was introduced to his wife Myrna Olson in his junior year and told her he planned to marry her on their first date. They went on to have six children, who remain close to this day.
Bill Ebert was instrumental to the growth of the successful Colorado Mountains-based Ebert Appraisal Service founded by his son Fred, before retiring and relocating with Myrna to the Hyatt Retirement Residence in Highlands Ranch, CO. Bill previously had a distinguished career in management with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company while raising his family in the Midwest. As a district manager, he earned accolades for transforming a lackluster region of company stores into record breaking results.
Bill was a man of few hobbies but delighted in traveling and gathering the family and following the pursuits of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Myrna; a sister Barbara; six children Jim Ebert, Dr. Christine Ebert-Santos, Fred Ebert, Ambassador Catherine Ebert-Gray, Bob Ebert, and Susan Ebert-Stone; 16 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He will be lovingly remembered for his taciturn wisdom, keen wit, and devotion to his wife and family.
In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to Shriners Children. (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en/giving)
