Obituary for Mary Constance Armetta
Mary Constance (Oswald) Armetta passed away peacefully at her residence in Littleton, Colorado, on the evening of October 19, 2020. She was 93 years old. Mary was deeply beloved by her family and friends.

Mary was born in San Jose, California, on August 22, 1927. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Notre Dame High School, and San Jose State University. Her father, Alfred, passed away when she was 12 years old, and Mary helped to support her mother, Mary, during World War II while her older brother, James, was in active service. On May 22, 1949, she married Anthony Lawrence “Larry” Armetta, a veteran of the Pacific front, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in San Jose. Mary retired from the Santa Clara County Department of Revenue in the 1980s. She enjoyed painting, sewing, and travelling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Alfred and Mary (Castro) Oswald; her daughter-in-law, Sandra (James); and her brother, James (Patricia).

Together, Mary and Larry raised three sons: Thomas (Amy), James (Sandra-deceased), and Gary (Laura). In 1991, they moved to Louisville, Colorado. In Louisville, Mary was an active member of St. Louis Catholic Church, where she taught religious education. After Larry passed away in 2011, Mary moved to Littleton, where she became a parishioner at Light of the World Catholic Church.

Mary and Larry have nine grandchildren, Stephanie (Spencer), Jill (Ryan), Danielle, Christopher (Heather), Kevin (Melissa), Matthew (Karen), Michael (Julie), Andrew (Tiffany), and Daniel (Ariel). They have 16 great-grandchildren, Shayna, Mariah, Triana, Anthony, Amya, Jayce, Jianna, Makenna, Charlie, Maria, Jadyn, Jackson, Katherine, Colin, Natalie, and Samantha; and three great-great grandchildren, Roman, Rogue, and Nash.
