Obituary for Anne Sherer Warner
Warner, Anne Sherer, 71 of Littleton, Colorado died November 12, 2012 at Porter Hospice in Centennial of ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Donald Nelson Warner, two sons, Michael and Robert, daughter-in-law Ann Warner, sister-in-law Virginia Camp, grandchildren, Christopher, Samantha, and Jesse, and brother Robert W. Sherer. A native of Annapolis Maryland, she graduated from Annapolis High School and married Donald Warner September 9, 1961 at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis. She graduated summa cum laude from Fort Lewis College, Durango, Colorado with a B.A. in history in 1980. In addition to assisting in various capacities in hospitals and law firms, she taught history in secondary schools. She finished her career with twelve years as an administrator in the Child Study Center at the University of Denver. Being a history buff, Anne enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to many regions of the country and the world. Her infectious enthusiasm was fueled by these many intercontinental adventures as well as summer trips with the grandchildren. She meticulously archived these trips both in written and photographic form. Anne’s love of and devotion to the Lord led to many years of faithful service in every church where her husband served. She enjoyed reading, historical films (especially Civil War) and meals and travel with the family. We rejoice in the life of this light-filled, spirit-led servant-hearted angel who blessed all our lives.
