Obituary for Darlene A. Pippitt
Darlene, age 84 of Littleton.
On Tuesday July 16, 2019, Darlene A. Pippitt, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at the age of 84. Darlene was born on May 11, 1935 in Cedaredge CO to Teresa and Clarence Hall. The family later moved to Denver, CO where she met and married Ernest “Mike” Pippitt on January 30, 1955.
Her children and grandchildren were her greatest source of joy and passion. She is already so deeply missed and will be forever remembered as a loving, funny, adventurous, beautiful, kind, and gentle soul. Darlene was always eager to play a game of Rook, Uno and Sorry - and even though she was a skilled player, she was known to let her grandchildren win every time. She also had a special place in her heart for animals; she surrounded herself with pets of her own - including her many cats! - but appointed herself as the neighborhood chef and took pleasure in fattening up the neighborhood birds, squirrels, and rabbits. Her love for nature did not stop with animals, she also loved flowers. Darlene had no shortage of curiosity when it came to visiting new places and going on adventures with her kids and grandkids. Her favorite place to visit was Hawaii where nature was on full display in the form of bright pink hibiscus flowers.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father as well as her sister Della Griffith and brother Albert Hall. Heaven has gained another angel and they are surely rejoicing her arrival! She leaves behind her brother Channing Hall, devoted husband Mike Pippitt, daughters Valerie Moreland and Vickie Carner, grandchildren Brianna Gonzalez, Channing Moreland, Rowan Moreland, Christopher Carner, and great granddaughter Lilly Gonzalez.
